To understand the significance of the Dasavatar in Hindu mythology.
Detailed knowledge about the process of making canvas and natural colors.
To develop foundational skills in Pattachitra painting techniques, including line work, color application, and composition.
To understand and value the cultural and artistic importance of Pattachitra art.

Workshop is divided in 5 sessions / modules:
Module 1: Base coloring
Module 2 : Background coloring
Module 3 : Black outlining
Module 4 : Detailing and border work
Module 5 : Border work and finishing touch

About the Master Artist

Bhaskar Mohapatra, a national award-winning Pattachitra artist,  comes from a long lineage of hereditary chitrakars. He carries forward the legacy of Orissa's native art form where no pencil or charcoal is used for the preliminary drawings.
